    Hi all!

So, following what may have been my faulty installation, the Spout objects are not loading in the included spoutSend-help file.

1)Could it be because I am on WIndows 10?

2)I followed these Spout Instructions which were for PD 0.47.1 on Windows 8.

3)There were some steps I was not able to follow: After pressing the [New…] button write libdir and press the [Ok] button.
After pressing the [New…] button write Gem and press the [Ok] button.

As no option to select PD libraries to load on Startup appeared.

I think this is because this functionailty is not applicable to PD 43,4 extended(or anymore for that matter).

I do not think the GEM library needs to be loaded on startup as I am using Extended, however, maybe libdr??

I have tried to be as explicit as possible, however, If more clarification is needed, just ask.

To reiterate PD 43,4 extended Windows 10 Home 1083

@whale-av Cheeeeeerrs....thanks so much for your response. This is for the installation I've been patching in extended, so vanilla would be a no-go unfortunately.....I'll check this stuff and report back:)

Ok, so I have done a search, and the only solution seems to be to hardware oriented.

Is there not another way to retrieve information from multiple webcams simultaneously?

As of now I am trying the laptop cam and an external cam...

As expected, only the laptop cam is detected as I switch that patch on first.

    Hi helpful community!

So, I´ve more or less learned how to use a webcam for motion detection in pd and how to translate the detection into parameter changes.

However, as what I am developing will be used in the dark much of the time, I have realised I am wasting my time.

I know about IR sensors, however, I was wondering if there were any specific recommendations from the community.

I am running pd extended 0.43.4 on an Alienware 15 R3 running WIndows 10(coding takes place on an ASUS F550l running Windows 8 much of the time)

    edit: for capitalisation

@whale-av Heyy, could you confirm that you indeed loaded a picture when testing this out?

since then I tested this on a macbook pro I7(like the one you used) and on my new Alienware R5 with a GTX 1070 and little improvement..

However, when no image is loaded, smooth as silk as you said..

I have noticed a huge improvement in visual perfomance since the acquistion, except for this.....

    @whale-av Okkkk...

a year later and still working on this project..

In retrospect, changing the resolution to my screen size created a really nice effect, however, it is NOT the same horizontal blur that occurs in the 500 by 500 standard square in the example....

They are more copies of the teapot on the depth plane..

Can you or anyone confirm that you can get the motionblur example working in fullscreen mode?

It's a bit misleading that the description included is fullscreen motionblur

I'm now working with 1920 x 1080, changing to this resolution(in snap2tex) doesn´t help at all in the included example. I'm also now using a GTX 1070 so definitely not the problem.
