ok, so i have a LDR sensor triggering a sound file to play,

But I was wondering if anyone out there knew of a possible way to make it select a radom file from a chosen folder.

Help is needed asap

eh no it doesnt

least not on my comp

don get pissy jus right click it save it den open it

pd files ARE just text files. you can open and edit them in a text editor just liek any other text file.

if you want to make your file open automatically in pd when you click on it, then you will probably need to right click on the file and set 'always open files of this type in PD' or something like that in the preferences.

Sorry guys. Didn't intend to sound pissy. I was disappointed thats all. I've been trying to work out how to do this for a while and here is a fella not just offering advice but a patch. [This is what makes this the best forum in the world].I've downloaded many a patch from here and hope one day to post some, but on Friday ALL patches where coming down as HTML text files even ones I'd downloaded previously [ I checked and double checked; different browsers; PC and Mac; half an hour later etc] Weird. Today it's fine and I am off to learn more. Too little time too much to learn.
