    hello,
here is my firt pd/gem patch. it is simple set of four 3d cubes which are textured and alpha-transparent. there are several effects such as rotating, adjusting size or colorizing.

    comments are welcomed.

    hi there,
i'm quite new to puredata and 3d visuals. i have a question: is there any way to do two or more 3d objects with same side (for example two cubes with same size and centre) and avoid blinking textures? i did some testings and didn't found any solution.

    winxp/pd/gem

this is intetresting idea. i would really love to have two same outputs - one for live preview and second to projector output.

    is there any way?

    Hi,

nice images! People love screenshots (at least I do ! ;-)
Videofiles? So you project videos on the cubes?
It's like the Homer patch in the GEM tutorials?

unfortunately my computer is not powerful enough to capture video to disk. my notebook hdd is very slow so i can't capture videofile. i'm working on it and i believe i can solve it.

there are practicaly 4 cubes with different center points and different size. just explore that patch and you understand...

i've taken some screenshots from this upgraded patch. it can now handle video as a texture...

yeah man, that is pretty nice!
Helps that your original image is pretty neat, i would like to know how that was created.

unfortunately the original image is not my work. i found it long ago somewhere on the net. but new version of my patch uses videofile as a texture and i have a lot of my own videos which also fits well. but i'm afraid gem is not so powerful as i thought. for example the method of texturing -- i can only set quality 0/1 and there is nothing else to set.

i'm also working with vvvv. it has perfect gui and interface but i didn't dive into it so far :(

well, no reactions? so it is so lame?
i wonder what other people do with pd/gem but there isn't many people who actually do something and publish it here. except mr. pidipid :)

so don't be shy and put something here, i'm very curious...
