I just installed Ubuntustudio 15.10 Wily Werewolf 32bit on a thinkpad and I am trying to upgrade PD to extend. I am fairly new to linux but it seems like the instructions on https://puredata.info/docs/faq/debian fails.

@kmll You seem to be trying to "get" a Pure data distribution that does not exist.
Wily Werewolf wants to find a "wily" Pd distribution.
If you look in http://apt.puredata.info/releases/dists/
it is not there..............
Maybe you can manually install a distro that is close enough? from that page?.......
"vivid" looks as though it is the latest.......

I now kind of understand what the commands were trying to do. I.e to download the .deb installation package.
I will give it a go with "trusty" which I belive is the closest match. Do you think it will work with the "trusty" version on Wily Werewolf?

As mentioned before I am fairly new to linux but when installing I guess I can use similar instructions as found here ?

@kmll I don't know that it will work.... but it probably will. Apparently, looking at comments and blogs about Ubuntu, it hasn't changed much (i.e. - not radically) lately.......
