It looks as though today is "Spam Friday"..... has anybody the power to stop (filter) these guys/gals.

Well, I can delete their posts, but not to exclude their users (although that wouldn't solve much of the problem, as we have seen so many new accounts created only to post a single spam message here, and that's probably done automatically). But I think @EEight has the power to do so.
Nevertheless, I try to keep my eyes opened all the time for any spam posts in order to delete them immediately. I read (at least the title) of every single post on this forum, and since I am online during most part of the day usually they do not go unnoticed for more than a short time (today I was busy observing the eclipse here in Europe ).
Cheers!

PS: let's make something positive out of this Spam Friday by (re)watching the amazing invention of spamming:

Lucky!!!
A thick mass of water vapour has ruined our lives again where I live. However, I remember 1999, when the kids danced around the tiny little crescents projected on the ground under the trees......and the birds stopped their squawking.... magical! -
Yeah, I remember seeing a total eclipse when I was a child and it was really magical indeed. Today the weather is lovely here in Prague, but the eclipse was not even near a total one (the sky didn't get too dark), and so the birds didn't seem to realize it was happening at all and kept doing their normal business.

I removed the spammer's account. The answer of "What is the last word in the footer" might be too easy, maybe I should use something like "How to send a bang when opening a patch"?!
Cheers~

@EEight I think changing the question is a clever idea, but I think that by making a technical pd question (even if it's as easy as the one you propose) may be tricky for complete beginners who want to use this forum. IMO, the question should be something very easy to find using a search engine. E.g.: if I google "who created pure data", I get the correct answer in bold text and in the 1st page. Another example: if I google "dsp", I get "Digital signal processing (DSP) is the mathematical manipulation of an information signal to modify or improve it in some way." in the top of the page. These are just two random suggestions, we can think of something better of course.
