not really concerned about a crossfader, will prefer to have say 8 audio tracks each with level metering.

Does pd have the capability of outputing to multiple audio outputs simultaneously?

I can imagine implementing this with two separate instances of PD communicating via IP or MIDI.

You can set multiple devices in audio setup, but for synced performance is better to use one soundcard with multiple outputs. For djing min 4 (2x stereo).

You also dont need to run 2 instances of pd - everything can be done just in one
