Here's a simple but useful patch i made for live performance... as an instrumentalist I've sometimes needed a large clock for synchronisation between myself/an ensemble and a pre-recorded electronics part... (mainly for time-space notated scored music... so not necessarily rhythmic). A short while back godinpants proposed a great solution.. and here's another by triggering changes in the labeling of invisible canvases..

Oh wow, this is a much more elegant solution than the DETHKLÖK, i would just say though, i'd like it to not reset to zero when i stop it.

I'm not entirely sure how this works, but its brilliant. (up until the aforementioned 9:59 issue)

Ok, I've worked out how this works now.

And i'm going to try work on a solution for it using label_pos to move the label across.
Of course this means moving the first canvas further along too.

Nice work. Here's an idea to get around the 9.59 problem. It puts it all on one canvas. Minutes and seconds are combined into a list, and [list2symbol .] throws the "." in between and makes it one symbol that can be used as a label. I also cleaned up your patch a little so I could personally read it better. I found that when I edited it, things got triggered out of order, so there's a bunch of [t b b]'s in there as well.

thanks maelstorm it's much better.. didn't know about the list2symbol object. Yeah I'm going to have use more triggers to clean up my working methods because I do seem to have things tangled like that in my patches!
