hello forum readers!

i am new to pd and gem but had a good start with max/msp and want to switch to pd.

so one of my most important questions ist if I can run, display a movie (i.e .mov, or .avi) with gem or pd. I did not find anything about it in the manual or in the web. do you know more about that?

I redraw my question - I've misunderstood the object "pix_film" which actually does play quicktime. so I continue porting my max/jitter work to pd and will presumably be back with 'real' questions soon
