    hello!

I want to display a movie (QT, codec is ok, 1024x768, fr25fps) but gem keeps reporting: "error: GEM: pix_film: unable to open file".

the data is passe on to a pix_texture-objekt and after that there is a rectangle-object with height- and width- arguments (4 3).

    what can be the reason?!

is there any restriction? couldn't find any clue in the manual or web..

    thanks,
    d~

    hello!

well, there are serveral efforts to provide descriptions to all the pd-objects. for example the pd-object database and also the link on top of this forum ("

    ").

but I couldn't find a list of the objects with the short description together. I want to print that list, so they have to be on one page (at pd.iem.at/pdb/ the complete list doesnt include the standard-Objects I urgently want to have within that list)

has anyone a link where I can find a document that lists all standard Objects (and perhaps other libraries included) WITH short description in ONE DOCUMENT for printing it out ?!!

    would be great help!!!

    thanks d~

    hello!

does anone know a library or extension that could track the values of the mouse wheel or could track the mouseposition even beyond display resolution?

in fact i need input from a wheel in a range from about -10000 to 10000.
    suggestions?

    hello forum readers!

i am new to pd and gem but had a good start with max/msp and want to switch to pd.

so one of my most important questions ist if I can run, display a movie (i.e .mov, or .avi) with gem or pd. I did not find anything about it in the manual or in the web. do you know more about that?

    thanks,
    d~

    hello again!

    sorry,
I redraw my question - I've misunderstood the object "pix_film" which actually does play quicktime. so I continue porting my max/jitter work to pd and will presumably be back with 'real' questions soon ;)
