Hi.

I am having two issues I can`t happen to solve.

1. Lets say I will show my pure data patch on an LCD display. Its normally pretty small, so I would like to switch between different Interfaces and settings.
   Lets say I have a filter page, and an amp page for example.
   How would I be able to achieve that? In max dsp. I am able to hide parts of the interface, so I can just lay multiple interface parts over each other and just hide the ones I don`t want to see.

2. I would like to create a sampler with the option to load samples from a specific folder, but without using the windows file browser. I am basically looking for a way to have a dropdown menu which shows me all the files I have in a certain folder. Lets say I have a Folder for Kicks and it should show me all the kicks in this folder in a dropdown menu. Is that somehow possible? Or any other ideas how I could achieve that considering using pure data on a standalone device like raspberry pi?

@impression Moving the GOP might be the better option, have your sampler and menu in the same subpatch and when you click on the menu just move the GOP over to show the menu. Some information in a recent thread which should help https://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/topic/15031/expandable-gop

I did notice though, things won`t play out as I thought.

My initial idea was to let pure data GOP show up on an OLED display, either on Bela or Raspberry Pi and pisound. But it looks like I won`t be able to show the
actual pure data GUI on it? Does anyone knows more about it? I would basically want to see my pure data interface or GOP on a OLED display.

@impression Look for an OLED display with a frame buffer driver for it, there were a few such options when I looked into pi/bela a few years ago. There were a good number of options for small TFT and LCD displays.

Ah thanks, sounds good. I will have a closer look. I already found an oled which should work in theory. But it seems the main issue is that I will just get OSC messages coming through. I won't be able to make anything more graphical like using the sliders from pure data for example. At least I don't know how that would work without heavy programming unfortunately.

@impression To play files from a folder this might help...... cart-5-vanilla.zip .... although I am not certain that it is 100% vanilla.
As you will know the paths to your folders you will not need all of it, and probably not the random part either.
Otherwise I think the else library has an external for listing folder contents.

I just gave it a try, when Iclick on open folder and select my folder the tracklist windows appears but its empty unfortunately, even there are wav files in it.
I will have a closer look. I hope I can figure out why.

@impression There could well be messages in the Pd console in red "cannot create".
If so then use Deken ( Help.. Find externals ... from the Pd top menu.)
It needs a fairly recent Pd version with the [file] object.
Please let me know which externals were needed as I would like to make it pure vanilla.

Ahh... ! .... I think it needs [count]....... which is a vanilla abstraction.
