Hello!

Does anybody know of a patch or abstraction for playback of an 8 channel octophonic composition through binaural?

I know there are some VST plugins that do this but I'd like to achieve it in Pd if possible.

Any tips or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

@jewelzcotard How do you want to distribute each of the 8 channels to L & R?

You can use [hoa.decoder~] from ceammc lib. It has all the updated hoa library for that.

@60hz I'm wondering how you concluded that the OP's 8 channel source was encoded in Ambisonics. 2nd order Ambisonics requires 9 channels.
