I open the reverb patch example from the audio.examples at the help browser.
When I do so the reverb patch is working and the abstraction inside the reverb object is recognized as you can see here:

when I copy the reverb object into a patch I made the reverb-echo abstraction is not recognized as you can see in here:

What I'm doing wrong?

@omer1789 Not sure on a Mac, but It should be showing as the name of the window if you navigate to the folder in the OS browser......
In windows.......

although because Pd Vanilla is on my desktop I would have to add C:/Users/David/Desktop

Maybe you should just copy the file reverb-echo.pd from the examples folder into your patch folder..... then it will always be found by the patch, and if you share the folder with someone else the patch will still work.
That is the simple solution.

I'm also using pd vanilla downloaded from here:

my pd folder is placed in Documents and the only folder I have inside my main pd folder is externals

@omer1789 The "finder" or "spotlight" should find the folder I think (very occasional mac user....!)
It's probably in applications, but maybe a user library?

Why does my pd have that name?

I search into the "finder" for the folder and for the specific reverb patch from that folder and could not find it! very strange.

So I found where is all located:
In the application folder I pressed right-click on the Pd app:

then inside it:

I copied all the "Resources" folder to the Pd folder located in "Documents"
I then add the "Resources" folder to the pd path search.
Still - the reverb abstraction is not recognized!

Is there anyone with Mac that can help with the above?

@omer1789 It is a bit of a mess.

To get the patch working, go into the Resources/doc folder and you should see a folder 3.audio.examples (with any luck).
Open that and find "reverb-echo.pd" and copy that file into the folder that contains your patch "reverb.pd"

Then it will certainly work, and hopefully a Mac owner will post a proper solution.

Looking at your tree structure I would guess that [declare -stdpath ../doc/3.audio.examples] might work (dot dot slash doc slash) but apparently that might not b the mac way of doing things.
The stdpatth is "extra" or "bin" (bin is where the Pd app actually lies) so dot dot is up one level and /doc.3.audio.examples should make Pd search for that file.

When I toggle between 1 (audio is playing) and 0 (audio is paused) there is a sudden click in sound. I would like to created a small envelope for avoiding that clicks. How can I do so?

@omer1789 You will need a small delay before the pause so that you can take the volume down.... and you will need to bring the volume up with a ramp as you start it again. [line] is good for that.

What is the difference between using pipe and delay ?

@omer1789 [delay] for bangs... it will only send a bang... and [pipe] for floats (and maybe pointers and symbols can be packed... but untested and unlikely).
