Hello, good day.

I am trying to connect my sound card to pure data. The card in question is a Behringer UMC1820:

My purpose is to be able to connect a headphones with 8 drivers. Each one of them has an independent jack connector connected to one of the line outputs of the card.
To do this I do the following: file-preferences-audio until I get to this menu:

Then I enter the option use multiple devices and configure it like this:

I save the changes and when I try to play sounds as follows it does not work:

The previous code allows me to select an audio file and play it through outputs 1 to 8. In some occasions it works, but in other occasions only some of the outputs receive the signal, for example 1 and 2 and 5 and 6. If anyone has any suggestions or advice I would be very grateful.

Which operating system?

At first: is Jackd server running?

Did you select Jack in PD's dropdown 'Media'? (there where you clicked "Configuratión Audio")

Check the routings of Jack in the commandline or with qJackctl.

EDIT: Retrigger the Trigger-boxes or use[*~ 1]instead of [*~ 0]

I am using windows 10 home. I have installed the corresponding driver for the card.
I don't know what Jacked server is but I will look into it.
How can I look at the jack routing, I am new to pure data.

The funny thing about all this is that sometimes it does work, but only when I've been trying the same thing for a long time. Honestly sometimes I think it's a problem of the program, although it's probably my mistake hehe.

@JordiMuletEstudiant Jack is not needed for windows.
There is a control panel for the usb driver for the soundcard and it looks like Pd is using that driver.
If you have some other software using it at the same time that could cause problems as for example the samplerate is set automatically according to the software accessing the driver....... there is no physical switch on the unit.
Maybe the samplerate can be switched in that control panel, and maybe there is some routing that it can set and that is getting in on the act.

If you have no luck getting it to work reliably you should try Asio4All....... https://www.asio4all.org/ especially as it will give you all your soundcards at once in one control panel.
You then select the Asio4All pins in Pd instead of the behringer umc 1820 pins.

David beat me to it... But here goes my two cents anyway:

Jack is a realtime audio engine/router for developed for linux. There are ways to make it work in windows: https://jackaudio.org/faq/jack_on_windows.html but I can't vouch for it as I am on linux myself. And I am not sure you need it at all.

Off the top of my head (thinking back to my windows days), you need to make sure no other programs are using your behringer soundcard (set your system default to the realtek onboard chipset). And it would probably be a good idea to configure PD to only use behringer for input as well to avoid any system conflicts (in your screenshot you have set input to realtek audio).
