Is it possible to have a Rpi running a pd patch, and utilizing the processor and RAM of another Pi? Somehow network the two of them

I seem to always hit a ceiling with the complexity of my patches on one rpi, and that's with using as many pd~ objects as I can.

@nicnut You could keep audio on one RPI and control everything from the other RPI using [netsend] ..... and [netreceive]
If you want to split the audio load and keep things digital there are probably hats with digital in/out, or cheap usb devices with SPDIF.
At least 64 channels of 24bit audio can be sent over the network with very low latency but I don't know of any objects that can do that in vanilla.
Usually it ends up much cheaper to buy a 2nd hand laptop......

OK thanks @whale-av. I'm trying to keep everything small and embeddable, so I can't use a laptop.

Maybe I expect too much from these little computers.

[udpsend~] and [udpreceive~] (mrPeach or net library) compile for 64-bit for the rpi3 and have very low latency even over Wi-Fi.
Networked should be even better.
