I want to create an harmoniser/harmonist , the only thing I could find is this

• how does it work ?
• what is sinebank resynthesis ? (https://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/topic/5549/creating-a-harmonizer)
• is there no alternative to pvoc~? just found the source code, I just dont understand how it works

@phil123456 @katjav produced something in 2012, so about the same time as her post that you looked at in the other thread.
All I have is this, that was adapted from Katja's work in 2014 by Gerard Paresis.........
Some of the help is in French but most of that has a translation to/from English.

@phil123456 I've had some good results with non-fft pitch shifters.. if I understand what you need correctly.. what I've done in the past is just have a granular pitch-shifter where you could control the pitches difference from middle c by playing chords on a midi controller

so far, if I understand, the whole idea is to detect the pitch, transpose it upon a musical scale and play the input sound at a different pitch

so why use a "non fft pitch shifter" or a "granular pitch shifter" ? for performances or something ?

@phil123456 you need iemlib and zexy to use my pitch shifter.. as well as compile my library (there are binaries on GitHub for the last release for linux and osx).

However, there are other pitch-shifters.. mine is based off of the help file G09.pitchshift.pd example in the audio examples of the help file for instance

@phil123456 Same for the one I posted...... "cyclone" etc.
It was built for Pd extended.
If you are running windows you can simply download the zip "run anywhere" version of extended and use it to run these old patches. It will not interfere with a vanilla installation.
Vanilla might be "new" but the body of excellent work that was done in extended means it is not really "dead" until all of it's libraries are available in Deken.
The Deken repositories might get the patch running, but might not?
