I'm a new user PD.
I've trouble with GEM 0.93 compilation, a fatal error message look this:

@MR-ZAN Never compiled anything, and I am a total Linux noob, but I would guess that you (the user running this) do not have read/write permissions for the directory you have specified with -o ...... "libGem_la-glew."something"" ?

@MR-ZAN Why do you want to compile Gem. I think you can use deken to find a pre-compiled version for linux 64bit.
