Had a similar issue with slowed down video which uses the the sample rate of the stripped and now separate audio file which is to control the frame rate of playback of the video ......this may sound confusing but have a look at how the audio playback is set up in this patch and it may help.....as usual there is a little math involved but have a look .....1472220530700-av-sync.pd
Hi All, looking for some help to close out this patch and progress to user testing...
I have constructed a live cam mixer: where Quad 1 and 2 are in the gem win (using [pix video] and works fine) and I want to load a pre recorded clip into Quad 3 of gem win using [pix film]- i am treating audio and video as two separate streams ; [pix film] to play back the frames and [readsf] to play its corresponding audio - but playback is too fast outta [pix film] and sound filer is throwing up errors- i have tried using a metro system to count and match the frame rate outta [pix film] so i can set a frame rate if known but have now tied myself up in knots
anyone with a little more experience than I wanna help get this over the line ??
any help would be very much appreciated- thanks LESSA FINAL.pd

this could be tricky to test if you dont have two can hooked up to computer but im only using a firewire cam and the webcam for now .... but what i am try to achieve a cross fade between two live cams ....
pls find patches attached
I open PD.... I open the cam mixer .........I open the main ...i create gem window .....
and i can see the cross fade occurring in the output window (bottom left of GEMwindow but as soon as i adjust the slider it reverts back to webcam only...?
ive check the slider properties , order of opening sequence .....and am a little stumped any ideas ?
HI All ,
couldn't get the resize object to change the dimen of video .......
have upload to patch to give you a look at my render chains in case it is some thing external of Pix Film /\Pix Mix
any advice would be greatly appreciated ....(",)x
Hi All ,
I,m Working on this little video mixer patch - taking in a video source and trying to mix it with a movie file but keep having a dimen error returned ....
[pix_mix]: two images do not have equal dimensions (320x240 != 512x288)
i have tried to set the dimen for both to be the same but it is not resolving the issue
am i missing something simple here ??```

Hi all have come across a small problem with my poly patch and was wondering if you could review to see if you can spot the error .
every time i play a key it sound on the first touch and then is silent for the the next 3 touches and will then sound on the next rond again .
i believe this pattern of the first of 4 beats is because i,n trying to set up a 4 voice poly ? any thoughts
just noticed upon ensureing i had the right patch to share with you that now there are also some clicks and delays after being introduced ?are these happening for you why would they occur as it worked fine yesterday?
thanks for the suggestion ,
yes i am going to keep this contained in PD extended for now (not using another synth just going to use simple osc~ and add harmonics as per patch above ) and try to transfer over to vinilla later to see if i can create a standalone app, (have been warned some object may need to be tweaked upon transfer)
'route the notes according to their pitch classes' sounds like a possible solution do you have any examples of how this might be achieved ?
Tune-able synth needs help
I have talked my way into a tough college assignment _
what i want to achieve from my patch is .....
--to be able to tune or detune individual notes on my midi controller and
---have pre defined temperaments for available for selection.....
----that can be tweaked and save a user defined temperaments.
i have set up a patch where i can manipulate the tuning of the note in and/or the freq output from the controller
but once these are changed for one note they change for all notes ....
i want make changes to each discrete note ie slightly tune up A and slightly tune down B
anyone have some examples they could share ??
