I'm trying to open a patch in windows 10 (PD is the 32 bits version) but I´m having these errors:

I re-installed all the externals in Windows using the "Find externals" option, but despite installing OSC and MrPeach the patch can't find the OSC controls (happens the same thing with freeverb~). Am I missing something?

@whale-av the idea is to build like a timer, where each bang bangs when a unit changes, or tens, or hundreds. The initial value is incrementing continuously and I want to separate each number and tie it to a different bang.

I have a number (received via OSC, changing really fast -every 20 ms- from some calculations) and I need to take the units, tens, hundreds and thousands like individual bangs. I thought using counter like this:

But the bangs don't go at the same frequency each position is changing in the received value.

Any ideas about how to accomplish this in a more elegant way?

I can't believe Pure Data doesn't have a proper multi-channel / ambisonic / spatialization library --time to consider Max/MSP? that would suck, lots of work in PD already for this 8-ch installation :'-(

I'm looking for an external that could help me doing 360 pannings in a multichannel environment (quad or octophonic). Some stuff I found here in the forums (like https://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/topic/7369/any-idea-who-made-this-4ch-pan or https://forum.pdpatchrepo.info/topic/2930/4-channels-surround-pan) or the CICM library (ambipan~, vbapan~, etc) won't work. Same with the HOA library that I can't get to compile in my Mac OS.

I just need something that could allow me to do 360 degrees panning between 4 or 8 speakers. Any idea of a simple external or any hint to create this? The ideal would be to have some kind of wheel of channels where I can put a sound in any position of the circumference. I can also compromise with a simple h-scroll where I could place the different speakers and do a manual or automated panning moving its slider.

Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

@beep.beep Thanks for this patch! The only thing is that the abstraction isn't ready for multiple instances in another patch --I tried to use a couple of randmodules but with the second one the first started to behave in an erratic way. Any ideas?

@Balwyn Thanks a lot! But the patch won't work for me (getting warning "texto: multiply defined"). The idea is that the symbol at the end will show the value of the next line OR random line value (using a checkbox as a switch between both modes) of the selected file (mia or penelope).

mia.txt values: mia-001, mia-002, mia-003... mia-n
penelope.txt values: i, ic, if, ig ... x

When the file is selected with one of the top messages the symbol at the end should show a value of that file. Before this symbol there should be a checkbox that switches between 'random' and 'sequential' mode for the next values. The next values should appear with a bang.

I'm making this patch to read different text files and get the size (number of lines) to then select a random value between the first and last line of the file.

The thing works in the sense that when I choose one or other filename it reads and prints that line number right but the overall size of the file isn't showing. Am I missing something?

Also:

1. how can I trigger [text get] without using [send text-help-send] ? I need to do the first reading after loading the file.
2. How can I set a mode to read sequentially OR randomly between 0 and max number of lines (with a bang)?

Hi guys,
I'm using the Pitch Shift from the examples (G09) and trying to use it a few times in my main patch. I did some modifications using the $0 at the begining of the sends/receives and in a [delwrite] but I'm getting these errors:

0-transpose: no such object
0-window: no such object
0-delay: no such object

Am I missing something? Thanks a lot for any hint!
