hi,
I've been trying to figure a way out with the use of soundfiler to load to arrays. I know how to load in stereo files, but how do you get pd to detect when its a mono file and load/read from only 1 array instead of reading from 1 empty array?

Hi,
I am trying to built an object like Max's seq~ object. Anyone here know how or is there something similar? Here is the help file from the database,
seq~
Signal input event sequencer
seq~ is an event sequencer that is driven by a signal input. seq~ is useful for creating looped sequences that are synced to an audio signal. a phasor~ is most useful for this purpose. the signal should always be between 0. and 1.Thanks in advance,

Hey Hardoff,
thanks for the (wav) info
I sorted it out, load any wav sample into soundfiler and it will output the right number of channels!

Hi, I'm on Hardy and using Serial-Pyio, I don't know why, but i'm only receiving from PD but my button presses are not going through. 8000 and 8081, prefix /box .
Thanks for this, I've also been banging my head trying to created something similar, how do you implement the pattern recorder? In the Original MLR, he uses a seq~ object which doesn't exist in any form in PD and I've been trying like mad over the past week to create that.
I also took the phasor~ way to read the tabread4~'s, but maybe the vline~ method might work better, problem I find is that using your method, I can't get the samples to play back like how they were originally intended, and everything starts to sound modulated somehow.
ED: Ok got it, Readme says 8000, patch says 8001.

Hey,
thanks for replying, this won't work as I'd like the write table to be continuously writing, so I can record messages on the fly and it will loop back in sequence and in sync. With this method, I still can't write to the table on the fly. I've made a pseudo object with a retriggered line object, but it still doesn't lock in nicely and the reading goes a little mad with too many values, etc. Sorry I can't explain it better, I'm still figuring it out as I type.
ED: I've added the work-in-progress (see attach)
Problem - during tabread, it reads multiples (check print), have to use speedlim to kill the rest, but this is more like band-aid, I'd rather know how to solve the problem

I've figured it out. What worked for me was changing the Windows Audio Settings to my USB soundcard (Tascam UC122L), once that was set, I went back into PD and the ASIO drivers work. I haven't tried sending audio in, but there was no more clicks in the audio and when I created a basic synth, I could play with my midi keyboard via midi yoke without any noticeable latency. Hope this works for you!
