Hi, i'm new and also i have a new problem related my laptop and the software coming from GOTO10 (pure:dyne). I'd like to run pd from this live dvd i had downloaded, but i have a problem with my sound card. Pratically if i try to play an mp3 file with audacity, it works fine, but on pd my soundcard stucks and the results is no audio and DIO error. What can i do?..may i have to set rigth my internal soundcard or it's another problem?..maybe related with my laptop?
My computer is a -DELL INSPIRON 1300 (..yes, i little bit old) Intel(R) Pentium(R)M processor 1.73GHz,2GB di RAM with SigmaTel High DefinitionAudio CODEC...

First of all thanks for the reply...but my real problem is related with this -liveDVD\pure:dyne-coming from GOTO10 site. Did you experienced this system on your laptop? You're right about ASIO4ALL, but this concern WINDOWS system. With pure:dyne running under the LINUX system, instead the driver is ALSA. So my problem is to run PD under LINUX on a DELL INSPIRON with the liveDVD pure:dyne.
If you ever try this, please post an opinion so i can take in consideration if the problem comes from a bug in the software or from a DELL's laptop hardware.
