Not sure if this is a silly question - but is there also a way to run Pd in the background? I currently have a shortcut of the Pd config file stored in the startup folder, which does the job, but you see the GUI and configuration page when it boots up - would be great if this could startup minimised in the background. Is that possible?

Thank you for the reply David.
The way I am looking to have it setup is to have Pd extended receive MIDI commands and then send the OSC command to localhost. I have Companion software on the same machine which listens for the commands and triggers the switching of cameras via my Blackmagic Atem Mini.
The last configuration I had, used the notein command with updsend as the input / output. Should I change them as you have illustrated? I would like a way to connect to the localhost automatically when the software is launched, so my wife is able to operate it without any technical intervention.
Any ideas? Your way certainly seems more streamlined.

Hi,
I have seen various ways in which a command can be sent using two possible states but not 4.
I am using 2 switch devices which can generate MIDI Note On messages when pressed/released (note 1, 2, 3, 4) all set to velocity at 127. I want for each switch to trigger a different OSC path namely;
Switch 1 Pressed - Note 1 > OSC: press/bank/1
Switch 1 Released - Note 2 > OSC: press/bank/2
Switch 2 Pressed - Note 3 > OSC: press/bank/3
Switch 2 Released - Note 4 > OSC: press/bank/4Is anyone able to help with this?
Regards
Mike.
