    Hey everyone,
is there a message to Pd I could use to open a patch?
Like I have a bang visible in graph on parent, and when I bang it, the patch opens without me having to do right click - open patch.
    Thanks!

Hey, I have a major problem in Purr Data.

I have a huge sequencer patch with multiple layers of abstractions and sub-patches.
It works without issues until version 2.19.3
From 2.20 on, the gui gets stuck after the first bigger process takes place - when all the loadbangs and value setting is taking place.
Midi is still being sent out, the patch is working, you just cannot see the states of the gui elements.
When you open or close a patch with graph on parent, the changes you made to radios and toggles get updated.
even after you close the big sequencer patch, and start a diffent one - like a single bang - the gui is still stuck.
When pd is restarted and only a simpler patch is opened, there is no issue.
    See video:

Tested on win 11, ubuntu 24.04, pop_os 22.04, same behavior everywhere

    Already reported this on github,
    https://github.com/agraef/purr-data/issues/65

Any ideas? There does not seem to be any admin activity on github for the past year.

    Thanks.

Here’s a little visualiser I made for my band’s EP. The music was also played using my Pd sequencer. Will hopefully make that public this summer. The sequencer, I mean.
The music is recorded live and completely improvised.
    Music also on bandcamp.

@EEight yes. I wondered when this would come up. So technically, I am not asking for money for the patch itself, but for my work as such. Right? And either way, gnu gpl does not forbid asking for money. Have you guys ever come to the point when you considered this? Or not at all?

Not really answering your question, but recently I found that the most CPU is consumed by the graphic representation, atom bowes with rapidly changing numbers being the worst. (like one number2 box with a constantly changing number, 0-191, in like 3 seconds, over and over would consume about 1/3 of my whole CPU, i7 8th gen.) I use purr data on ubuntu.

Thanks for your reaction. I wouldn't ever try to ask for money here. And I will eventually post the instrument here. It is really a licensing question and a hypothetical/ethical one. My bandmate is pushing me to sell it, and I am trying to explain to him that it does not work like that in this community. So I am basically just curious if I get a lot of hate for even asking this question, or if anyone has ever thought about this before. Thanks!
