Hi David,
Thanks very much for the reply.
Have just gone through saved files again (Yes, I am using Autmatonism) and the mists are clearing slightly!
I think I may have saved some others in a different place?
Will post again when I have a little more time.
Sorry to have panicked & wasted your time. All best,
Brian. -

Hi All,
I just went to open a patch from a couple of years ago.
Clicked on 'recorded wavs' folder to open up a recording, only to find the original .wav has somehow been replaced by a .wav file called 'mix_take1'.
Checked about 12 other projects, only to find the same result: all have been changed from the originals to this 'mix_take1.wav' file.
Has anyone had the same experience I wonder?

Hi jyg - Thanks very much for clearing that up. Will give it a go.

@jyg Hi. Thanks for the message. I have clicked on the included link - but I'm afraid I don't know how to:
Unzip it into your puredata - externals folder.
as suggested in Installation.
Sorry to be so dim - any help would be greatly appreciated.Thanks.

@whale-av Ahh! Thanks very much, David. I'll try again using your guidelines.
Seems odd & not a very user friendly procedure, but I'll give it a go - I really do like Automatonism & Pd.

Hi All - After my previous post details I moved to a 2nd iMac to run a Test to see if I could understand why I am having these problems.
On the Test patch (please see attachment) parameters are still not being saved after closing & restarting Automatonism - but now when I call up the Module List (Esc button) the modules I click are not loading up either.
This is driving me crazy - I must be doing something wrong, but I can't figure out what.
Any help would really be appreciated. Many thanks.
I am using Pd-0.51-4 Vanilla, by the way.

Hi All,
Following on from my last post of 2 days ago - the patch that I am working on (Automatonism/Purr Data) is now not saving some parameters when I Save & close. When I re-open some parameters are back to a default setting.
I am following the guidelines in the 'Quick Guide' by the way.
Any help greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Hi bocanegra - Thanks, but that option doesn't seem to be available here.

Hi All - I seem to have lost the background grid in Purr Data (Automatonism).
Is it something I have turned off accidentally I wonder?

Excellent tutorial! Thank you. I followed along & built the Drum Machine this afternoon. Just having fun now & playing with it. Thought I'd try & make adjustments to the Kick to get a couple of Toms?
I'm working with Pd vanilla v. 0.51-4 but I'd love to be able to get the black background & coloured comments. Very helpful in distinguishing what is what.
Thanks again.

''Adding [+ 2] to the timing for [line] seems to have solved that''
Sorry David - should that be [line] or [pack]? (The object box [+ 2] is wired up to the [pack] boxes).

@whale-av Hi David - Thank you so much for the patch & for taking the time to diagnose my patch.
Some interesting thoughts for me there. Will study your adjustments & try to understand what is going on!
Many thanks again - very much appreciated.

@whale-av - Does this work?
Ping Pong.001 copy.pd Ping Pong.001 copy.pd
This is a different patch from the one I sent - but the 'Jitters' problem is the same.

@whale-av Hi David - Thanks for the message. Sounds like a good idea - if I can work out how to post the patch.

Hi All - I seem to be doing something wrong?!
I am following along with the examples in the Bryan WC Chung book - 'Multimedia Programming with Pure Data' & I think I have all parameters right?
But, as you can see from the attached vid, things aren't going as expected. It started off O.K. when completed - green wire sphere calmly looping round on the x axis, smaller pink sphere rotating round green sphere - but quickly got the jitters!
Can anyone see any obvious mistakes please?
Many thanks.

@ingox & @alexandros Thanks very much Guys.
My vid was way too long. Didn't see the warning message.
All fixed now thank you. -

Hi - Just wondering if it is possible to post a short video here with my query.
Many thanks.
