Would anybody know if there is a way to get a computers screen resolution from inside PD. I made a simple little theremin type patch using mousestate and I'd like to share it with a class of kids I'm teaching but it would be better if I could get the screen resolution in advance in order to usefully calibrate the numbers coming from mousestate.

A bit more searching around and I found the aptly named [screensize] object in PD-Extended.

Any ideas if it can be done in vanilla?

@audiolemon PD vanilla can load external (in this case extra/hcs/screensize) you just need to copy it in the root folder of your patch. You didn't state your platform, not sure if [screensize] is cross-platform.

I didn't think about cross platform. I'm on OSX but the kids are mostly PC.

Does anyone know what [screensize] is doing. Is there a low level way to build it natively. It's not a big concern right now but it'd be good to know.
