I am building an Android application that uses pure data vanilla. This is because that is what libpd supports, but it said you can use externals if you need other functionally. I would like to use some of the functions in fftease. I tried adding the folder to the path in puredata and got the error:

/Users/home/Desktop/fftease/burrow~.pd_darwin: dlopen(/Users/home/Desktop/fftease/burrow~.pd_darwin, 10): no suitable image found. Did find:
/Users/home/Desktop/fftease/burrow~.pd_darwin: mach-o, but wrong architecture
burrow~

Is what I am trying to do possible and is there a tutorial somewhere? If so, I am using Pd-0.45-4-64bit on Mac (Yosemite).

I also tried adding the directory mention here, but it didn't work

It seems that you're on the right track, meaning that pd can indeed find a file for OS X named burrow~.pd_darwin, and that this file is a pure data external. The issue is, as the computer tells you, that the file is of the wrong architecture. What this means is that either it is compiled for powerpc, (arch is ppc) or 32 bit (named i386). What you want is x86_64.

One trick that you can do to discover the architecture on Unix-like OSes is the "file" program. So when I run this in Terminal:
file /Users/sebshader/Library/Pd/fftease/burrow\~.pd_darwin
it gives me:
/Users/sebshader/Library/Pd/fftease/burrow~.pd_darwin: Mach-O 64-bit bundle x86_64

As you can see I happen to have this library for OS X 64 bit, but I use an older version of pd. (Pd-extended). burrow~.pd_darwin
