First off, I'm new in the forums, so please let me know if I've posted this in the wrong section or if this topic's been covered elsewhere. I've scoured fairly thoroughly and can't seem to get the answer I'm looking for. Basically, I'm trying to accomplish vertex displacement on a mesh in Gem. Something similar to a height map, translating pixel values to z-axis displacement of vertices. This is pretty trivial to do in Max (or Processing) but seems to require a vertex shader in Gem, or am I missing something? Is there something similar to the Jitter matrix in Gem that you can feed to the mesh? I started programming with pd years ago, but it's been a while. Obviously, I've been in the Max world for too long.
