I mean, I can see them but with difficulty.

Fortunately, selecting the zone allows me to see everything.

It seems that those characters could benefit from being more bright. Maybe I could configure my monitor to be very bright?

Is there any trick for improving this visualization issue?

I have the same difficulties as you (and probably everyone else is in the same boat). It would be wonderful if we could tweak the colour scheme and make all those symbols as readable as normal characters.

There is also some other annoying things done by Markdown, such as the red rectangles around a \ when it is between two words or when it was created after a word and then the word is exchanged for an |. E.g.:

  [open C:\folder\file.wav(
  |
  [readsf~ 2]
  |   \    |
  [dac~]   [s end]

• I'd make the numbers a bit brighter, there is not much contrast between them and the background IMO.
• on my screen, I can see a little bit of purple tint in the vertical lines (such as |, [ and ]. Compare:

Same here, but it is not defined as a color. AFAIK it's coming from the font-size: 90%... will not fix this one.
