I'm currently working on a patch that you can do various things to manipulate the audio and then the result ends up in an array....My problem is however is there a way in which you can save the data in the array to disc or your desktop as a wav. file for example, like the opisite of opening a file into an array using openpanel. I have looked at the help files but keep going in circles, only started using pd about a month ago.

under help files, control examples, 15.array.pd has what you need.

[savepanel ]

[write $1 arrayname {
|
[soundfiler ]

banging the savepanel brings it up, select where you want to save the file (remember to add .wav to the filename, it doesn't do it automatically for you). the $1 in the write message gets replaced with the filename you put in, and then savepanel writes it. make sure to substitute your array name in for "arrayname". note that this is for saving tables, for recording live use writesf~ . hope this helps.
