I'm new here and I gave a quick look through the forum topics, so I guess I'm in the right cathegory.

I have few questions:

1. Is it possible to use wireless web cam as a light sensor and to activate it via pure data using [pix_video]?

2.if yes which model of the wifi we cam?

3.does it work as with normal camera or some extra tweaks are needed to recognise the camera?

The resolution of the image is not so important. The camera is used as a light sensor, which translates light data into sound. I would like to use wifi camera rather to hide the neccessary cables. I'm using Mac OsX.

Any comments and suggestions are welcomed!

Does anyone know if this solution might work (without buying the items in advance).

If I try to connect: wireless mini spy camera and its radio AV receiver to USB video capture receiver will I be aple to activate the camera via Pure data?

i don't know about that usb interface, but i do know that some cheap frame grabbers i had did not work on osx.
and i know that this thing called "igrabber" works with osx and pd. have no idea about the rest.
check out the program "camtwist". you could open your cam wireless with any other program (vlc?) and grab the program window with camtwist to turn it into a virtual webcam
