I'm currently working on a portamento patch for the synth I'm designing - however, I'm having difficulty in 'holding' a frequency value so it can be matched to another for gliding - I am including a copy of my portamento patch with this message with comments explaining where I need to hold the value.

maybe use the poly object? what are you trying to match/ how do you want the voices to glide? [f ] holds numbers...

this is what I came up with, probably not as elegant as it could be. it'd be simpler if you only needed to remember it when one or the other changed, but this will save the value of the left when either input changes to the same value.
