Hi.
I'm new to the forum and pd in general and would like to share my first finished patch. It is used for getting the KORG microKONTROL into its "native mode" in order to control the leds and displays on the controller over MIDI-sysex-messages. Of course the pad-, fader- and knob- movement is also implemented.

I suppose this patch will only work in linux since sysex over [midiout] is buggy in windows and i don't have a mac to test it.

The patch should be pretty self-explaining although its not the tiedest. I'm sure many things could be done more elegantly and i'm open for feedback on that matter.

I myself have it running on a raspberry pi using ALSA and aconnect.

Quick question: how is your RPi set up? I've had a horrible time trying to get ALSA playing nice with PD. I now have a USB sound card in the mix (Conectiv), but it's not working in PD.

The RPi seems like the perfect host for PD. Especially once you get your patch all set and you can just run it from the command line... man. Makes me wish the sound would work better out of the box.

Well, to be honest, I didn't set up the pi myself. A friend did it for me. we compiled pd for raspbian and if I remeber correctly ALSA was working from the first moment.
but since I'm just using pd for midi and not for sound I can' t really help you.

And you're right about the pi and pd. At the moment its all quite slow because of the gui but once I'm finished with my step sequencer I don't need a screen anymore.
