why not make it in GEM?

hardware acceleration.
the good thing about gem is, that its not eating up your cpu like TCL/TK does.
it doesnt freeze so easily also.

you will find some stuff to start on my website
download gem_engine, there you will find abstrctions to move objects around in space.
its not perfect, but a place to start.
im playing with the idea of building a nice interface for audio+visual performances
so maybee ill add some things regarding this issues in some time.

the thing is, i dont quite know what gui elements would be useful for making musik, as im not a musician.
