Thanks M! I'm especially proud of the array-router component. I built and rebuilt the thing probably four or five times, and I still think it could be more elegant and tighter. (It is possible to triple-click a cell. It stays blue, but it is sort of sloppy, and I don't really want to deal with it.) And thank you for making me aware of MouseState.
Part of the new idea consists in using the labels to cycle through roman numerals a la chords in relation to the root, as with the arpeggiator I'm going to build soon.
This is so cool. It's like a knob-toggle. A knoggle. Glad you kept the toggle functionality, as it is still really important for sequencing purposes. Ah! And it saves the previous value! I will have to find some use for this guy in my live patch. I want things to be quick and dirty, so 127 is too much variation (too many possible relationships to think about), but I could certainly reduce the scale. I like to increment on click as well, but that's just a matter of hooking a counter up to the thing.
I am thinking out loud, a very useful patch! There is so much flexibility in Pd. With the capacity to design "classic" as well as new and experimental filters and oscillators, we can certainly approach and diverge from Reaktor in terms of instrument design. Oh and I love finagling GUI elements rather than assuming I have to go to structures to make what I want. I am all about lightening the CPU load. Though structures are certainly juicy as well.
Oh I have a patch you might think is cool at least. I haven't carried it into full functionality yet. Anyhow, I was proud of the basic execution of the ideas. Check it below. I think this is the updated version. It does what I meant it to do, anyway, though there is no tempo counter apparatus to actually cycle through the grids.
I feel like I'm on the cutting edge of software instrument design. I guess it's my personal cutting edge! So much yet to learn! Your work is inspiring to me.
