a few months ago i posted a patch of mine with an error i couldn't find, crying out for help. my cry was answered by boonier (i think) who found the mistake and saved my life .......
now i've updated the patch, and a similar error occurs, and once again i can't seem to find where the problem is, so i post it back here in case someone has time to waste on this ..... i know it's got to do with a loop in the system in the "mudchanel" abs, but i just can't pin it....

to open:
download all three files from below to the same directory
in pd~ open a new file and save it to the same directory
in the new file create an object called "mud" with an argument of your choice
connect the outputs to dac~

well there you go..... it's quite a nice patch for granular sampling, so i'd love to have it work.....

well i've found the error and the answer, with the help of a 60 year old engineer specialized in analog modular synths ! those guys know their logic basics

so no use downloading the patches, if someone's interested by a quite complete and open granular sampling patch let me know and i'll post it.

ok sinewave here it is. this is a temporary version (the original version had a better delay section, i'll replace it soon), but it works ... i usually have 8 units running at the same time with a general sequencer. if you have questions tell me..... i'd also love some feedback, especially concerning ways of doing the same using less cpu.
don't forget to load it in a new patch and give it an argument.

Just so you know, after you post with an attachment, you can add another attachment to that post by clicking "Edit." That way you won't have to have a post for each abstraction. I know it's stupid and not at all obvious way to have to do it; I'd fix it if I knew how.

Unfortunately, it freezes my pd
Maybe I'm missing some important tip for using it.
Actually, when I try to load an audio file, the bang button stays pressed in (remains black). And when I change the number boxes' values, it jumps by increments of 20 and more.
I'm still very curious about your patch, so I will try to find out what causes the problems. I'm running pd on winXP sp3, and usually don't have performance issues in pd.

to maelstrom: thanks for that tip ... quite usefull as you have to wait 60 s between posts ....

to sinewave: yes i've found the bug, it comes from using the patch outside of its environment. to solve this:

• the patch must be load as an abstraction in a "master-patch" with a name ("mud") and a necesary argument (of your choice).
• in the "master-patch", add this:

loadbang
!
200(
!
number box
!
s beat

or just click the "sync" buton in the patch.
