O!
error: GEM Man: Could not initialize quicktime: error -2093
Error with loading pd.
-
mhh, you're not talking about the patch you posted, did you?
i had that problem too with gem patches running qt video sequences, because i had no quicktime installed.
installing quicktime should fix that. -
About this patch too!
Will try quicktime ... -
Quicktime doesn't help with it ((
-
since this seems to be a very special problem on your machine, maybe you should try reinstalling pd? or check your complete machine for problems? in the patches, where the sliders don't work for you, do you get any error messages in the pd window? i don't understand, why you get a gem error message for the patch you posted, since there is no gem object in it...
-
GEM error displays in console when loading PD (not depend from patches). After installing quicktime error was fixed.
But sliders and radios in some paches still not work.
I'm allready try to reinstall PD - no results.
P.S. Excuse my english.

error: : no such object -
except the error message on the bottom, everything seems to be fine. check the structure if you may find the problem with the unnamed object.
do you have the slider issue in all patches? if no, find out, if you get error messages in the patches, where the sliders don't work. -
On my PC problem was in the depth of the folder with .pd files (D:\Временно\Эксперименты\PD\Favorites).
I created a folder in the root of drive D and the problem disappeared.
-
just had same problems
remove special caracters (russian or french accents or spaces ) from the path
pd or the patch resides -
i experienced similar tcl/tk problems on windows. gui elements like sliders + atoms freeze sometimes (mostly when something is wrong with the patch like error messages in bash or machine is really busy)
-
i heard number boxes caused that too.
and to use number2 boxes instead
-
hello. i'm having this problem consistently through various windows installations and consequent pd versions. it occurs on *some* patches. the display (sliders, tabs etc.) is never updated. i checked the national characters issue to no effect. there are no messages from pd help greatly appreciated.

Hello everybody:
I have the same issue when I make my small laptop crawl because of extensive CPU usage. It's ok for me as long as I don't have sound dropouts and I don't need to tweak the gui elements live.
I hope you find a way around that. Best regards,Sumidero
PD: I also have a folder named "experiments" into a temporal folder, @MEPTBblE . It's nice to see how many people have things in common.
