i want to do the following:

1. have the computer starting up with a pd patch with all settings.
so far no problem but...
i use the keyboard with all keys as controller. only if i have the gui on and the mouse in the patch the keyboard is connect.
how can get this connection without a gui or without a monitor?

2. i want to run all audio on one computer an all graphic on an other machine.
preferable audio on a mac with osx and the graphic on a debian based linux pc.
i don´t want to use vnc. if i remote login (ssh -Y) on the mac from linux and start the gui the patch opens on the mac. if i do that with two linux machines the gui opens on the pc where i start ssh. i want to realize the connection like this.

3. not totally pd related but...
does somebody know how to activate the audio input in ad1882 c2duo running the latest linux kernel with all realtime settings done. it is possible to route the audio from input to output but not into puredata. also in qjackclt it show always only two inputs which don´t react on any connection.

1. Pd is set to only send keyboard triggers to the currently active window. Maybe there is a technical way around this but somehow you have to ensure that the window receiving the keystroke messages is the active one at start up. You could always have a separate patch that you open last (to make sure it becomes the active window) that listens for keystrokes and then sends it's value using [send keystroke] to the rest of the patches.

2. Don't understand. The reason why logging into your mac via ssh from the linux, and then sending it a command to open a file, opens it on the mac is for exactly that reason (that's what you have asked it to do!) you don't want to ssh your own computer. just type "open file/location" on the linux PC to open your file, and then ssh the mac to open whatever you want it to open.

1. ok thanks. thats what i am doing so far. all my patches run as abstactions from one patch. as soon this one has the focus the keys are connected. but. i want the computer starts up with that focus already. the idea is to use it possibly without monitor. only controllers an the keyboard.

2. maybe i explain unclear what i want.
a setup with two computers. then ssh -Y (forward xserver -X/-Y) into the mac who runs the pd-audio and have the pd-gui on another machine.
as i said if both run linux it does it. because of the slighty higher stability i want the mac run osx. in osx i have enabled x forwarding in ssh_conf but it doesn't forward x yet.

1. load the patch (open the abstraction) with the keyboard commands last. That way it will be on top, and active

2. Again don't really understand, but maybe that's because I don't know too much about SSH. But... Using the already existing method of networking the the linux to the mac, you could get Pd talking to each other by use of Open Sound Control. you can find help in Help > Browser > Manuals > 3.Networking > 05.OSC.pd
