Hi to every one, here I am with a question.

I have tried to do a pitch effect, and this effect to apply on a mic signal.

And get control on the pitch effect, for example, if in my mic is getting a C, what I want is, with the effect get a C#, plus the C from the mic.

Any help thanks a lot.

Pitch shifting can be done a number of ways. Check out "G09.pitchshift.pd" in the documentation browser, under 3.audio.examples for a method using variable delays.

this is not my work
but when i was looking for pitch shifting stuff this is what i used
i think its pretty straight forward
its from the Honk abstractions which there are more than a couple nice objectcs to use from that!

anyway

you have a right and left inlet going into pd pitchshift
the left is the audio input
the right inlet is the shift rate in semitones
and the outlet then is an audio outlet

so you can switch out the message boxes with 3, -2, and 0
with a vslider

but give it a limit of something like -20 and a top of 20
or however much is useful to you

This is a nice patch, now I'm getting some delay around 500 milliseconds, can I reduce the delay?

if you open up the subpatch pd pitchshift and on the top left hand side there is a inlet~ connected to a delwrite~ $0-b1 5000
so i would say playing wit different numbers other than the 5000 try a lower and you may get a shorter delay

i have been trying for a while to upload just the pd files but i always get the same error so i have to zip it up (im on a macbook) so im thinking it could be a windows-mac thing
