Interesting use of "silky" instrument and samples, small bit of reverb and never annoying (at least to me patterns.

This is pretty great. I've been working on a lot of similar generative stuff that works in scales, but mine have been a bit more maximalist. So the sense of minimalism and restraint in these pieces is quite an inspiration -- it's nice to hear a composition with this much space in it that stays interesting and evolves gradually.

ichabod - glad you like it as I'm just starting with this PD. I'm working with PD for more than a month now.

Yeah, it's amazing how quickly you can progress in Pd; I've only been using it since January, and I've learned a lot more than I did during my ten-month Max/MSP trial period. And I think that's largely due to online tutorials, mostly the stuff on Andy Farnell's site, which I see you've used too. I am megaparsecs beyond where I would have been if I hadn't studied those.

I'd love to see your patches -- check out the stuff I posted here: http://puredata.hurleur.com/sujet-1899-little-band-plays-computer . The scale generator/switcher is probably similar.

What I've heard from some Pd composers lately is very impressive. Nothing quite so much as the good will and helpfulness of this Pd community.
