Is there any function that do exactly like [ignore], but support symbols?

If you have Zexy for [strcmp] and [l2s] then you can do it like this
(probably a less scruffy way is possible)

if you just want tio ignore one symbol, but pass everything else, then [select] will work i guess.

The hardoff version is exactly what I needed and the obiwannabe alternative is intersting as I might need the ignore time!
