Hi pd lovers,
Do you know an abstraction or externals for spatialize audio between 4 or more audio output.
I know [audience~] from Yves degoyon : [url=http://ydegoyon.free.fr/software.html
]http://ydegoyon.free.fr/software.html
but it crashes my pd. I don't know why. I'm under windows 2000 with pd 0.37.
May be I didn't install it correctly.
Do you know other objects may be more simple ?
thanks ,

i recently used vbapan~ for panning around a 5.1 system. by the same authors are two other externs, ambipan~ and ambicube~. each are externs for multichannel audio diffusion. they differ based on their applications and the algorithms they use. vbapan~ seemed to work wll for me and was easy to use. i forget the name of the author, but there is a thread from a few months back (i believe the topic is ambisonics or matrices) that links to the externs. the forum search function should be of some help.
cheers,

here ambipan~ and ambicube~
[url=http://www.mshparisnord.org/CICM/dl_fr.htm ]http://www.mshparisnord.org/CICM/dl_fr.htm
available for mac, pc, pure data, and max.
I will try it, thanks -
this package of objects from the CICM. It's exactly powerfull.
For explain inputs of objects, they talk about cartesian data and polar data for distance and angle of the source of the sound.
I thought cartésian, it's number from 0 to 1 and polar from 0 to 360. Am I right ?

So here is the answer - http://cicm.mshparisnord.org/dl/ambipan.htm
in case anyone else is looking. -
