Has anyone done this successfully? I always remember them being a preset on the 2-operator FM keyboards yamaha made! I'm really into that scifi sound in the 60s when they were used on shows like UFO - really spooky long sustained vibes

Is the basic principle using carefully tuned [bp~] in parallel to make a bank of ringing filters?

Yeah additive is brute force, add one osc for every partial. Expensive but gets good results if you can spare the CPU.

@Domien - I had to look in Olson and Benson books to remember the 1.33333 but many struck objects follow a similar formula so they're easy to remember , the partial numbers are from a table.

Made up. Guessed them, then tweaked a bit.

A good spectrum analyser with (normalised scaling) is an asset.

I was just about to, but my ftp app is doing funny things like not copying the entire contents of a folder, so the patch I came up with last night is missing some dependencies.
