Hello,

I have this code in lua (teste.lua) that allows to create pure data patches in this language. However, when running it, the following error appears: "module 'pdlua' not found", even though I have the library installed.

Does anyone know the reason for the error?

usually you don't need to require pdlua. pdlua will load the external, not the other way round

@seb-harmonik.ar I remove the require, but errors continue. I do not know what to do.

btw where did you get this file/example?

pdlua doesn't have any 'newPatch' method. so what package are you using/where is this api documented?

@seb-harmonik.arI installed the pdlua library in Lua's package.path directory and the following error appeared:

./pd.lua:22: attempt to index a nil value (global 'pd')

@romulovieira-me ok these are 2 different things.
LuaPd =/= pdlua
LuaPd is using libpd to embed pd in a lua project/file (specifically using the love framework)
pdlua is embedding lua in a pd object
try using the examples from pdlua instead

however, you should still be able to access the global 'pd' table if pdlua is properly installed

also make sure to add 'pdlua' to startup preferences

@romulovieira-me do you want to run a lua script in a pd patch, or a pd patch in a lua script? If you want to run a pd patch in a lua script using libpd then you DO want LuaPd (NOT pdlua) and I don't know much about that. I would try setting it up using the instructions on github.
