Hi,

can someone please help me to make a working purr data installation? I have downloaded pd-l2ork-2.9.0-ubuntu_14.04-i386.zip.

What would be the right way of installing it. Extracting the archive and double clicking the resulting file leads to the Ubuntu app store and option to install. Installing does not produce any icon or such.

What version of Ubuntu Studio?

I installed Bionic Beaver 18.04, 32 bit, downloaded through torrent from this page:
https://ubuntustudio.org/download/

Should I go for Disco Dingo 19.04 64 bit instead?

I installed this on a old pc that supports 64 bit but only has 2gb ram.

I can't remember all the little differences between the various Ubuntu flavors.

Albert has a repo for xubuntu here. You could give it a shot using the instructions here:

https://github.com/agraef/purr-data/wiki/Installation#ubuntu

If you get dependency errors after apt install purr-data it means we'll have to compile specifically for Ubuntu Studio. Otherwise you should have a fully working install.
