I've got a problem that I don't understand. Before calling it a bug, I'd be happy if someone can test this little example attached.
Basically I want to play a looped audio file, then wait to the end of the file to switch to another file, played by another part of the patch.

@chapelier-fou It will be a problem with the order of operations...... which you might thoroughly understand, but if not then this is good bedtime reading...... http://puredata.info/docs/manuals/pd/x2.htm

You probably need to use another trigger [t b b] on the right outlets of [tabplay~] to make sure that the [stop( message arrives at the inlet after the player has been re-started.
The player is probably getting ...... stop, play...... when it needs..... play, stop.
You can check by adding a [print] and look at the terminal to see the order of messages and bangs.

EDIT: this will help you understand the order of operation better, like @whale-av said the end-of-the-loop outlet needs to first bang the red button mechanism, which closes the loop spigot, and then bang the spigot (which will be closed by then).
Hope this makes sense, the order of operation is crucial to understand for many things in Pd.
