I've noticed that there is a relationship between the lowpass frequency of a filtered signal and its amplitude. The more high i cut, the lower the amplitude becomes (or is this just perception?). I'd like to compensate for this, meaning : automatically adjust the amplitude when the filter frequency changes. So i wonder if anyone could explain me what exactly that (mathematical) relationship between those 2 parameters is?

i just figured it out basically by trial and error.

it was a log curve from 4 at 100hz to 1 at 40000

no actual science involved though.

also, run the output through a tanh function to avoid nasty digital clipping, i'll exmplain that tonight when i get home from work.
