Hi I get the message "pd-new.pd: no such object" whenever I try to create something like a synth, synth-bass, audio-out, etc... Any ideas?

@alice1 Hello. This message suggests that you are trying to open a patch "something.pd" that is not correctly formatted as a Pd patch file.
If it is something that you have downloaded (maybe from "GitHub" ?) then make sure that you have copied the "Raw" version (choice at top right of GitHub window) into an empty text file which you can then rename as "something.pd".

The Pd file must have no special formatting. If you copy the "Raw", or a file that has been uploaded on this forum, into a word processing file it will not work.
In windows creating a simple "something.txt", pasting the "Raw" into it, and renaming it to "something.pd" will work.
