Need some help.

1. I use Roland Quad-Capture. It has 4 input - 2 analog and 2 digital (SPIDF). When I try to work with all inputs simoulatenosly PD prints 'separate audio device choice not supported; using sequential devices" and work just one of pair inlets only, not all. Whats I have to do?

2. When I load some of my subpathes in main patch it doesnt work (sounds) until I switch off/on DSP. It results in interruption of sound and click. How can I handle with it?

3. About Histogram. How can I recieve area under curve (in % of array) and maximum (number)?

Please post "osx/windows/Linux/other" and Pure data "vanilla 0.xx-x/extended 0.xx-x" and then "Zip" your patches and upload them.......

Windows 7, 0.43.4-extended. I cant upload pathes for some reasons.

@navu Then I would suggest trying Asio4All as your asio driver http://tippach.business.t-online.de/asio4all/
and then selecting that in your audio/midi setup.......
Also....... here is a patch that might (with some modification?) give you the array data that you are looking for............. a very messy patch though......grrrrr!

Sadly, but ASIO4All doesnt change porblem with plugged subpatches. Though, I had no opportunity to check you suppose about multichannel, but your patch was very helpfull. Why I havent guessed?)) I thought it was about special objects or command. Anyway thank you very much, David!

Yes ASIO4All might solve the multi-channel problem.
I think you must build your abstractions when you start your patch, and use [line~] within the abstractions to control their use.
Pure Data has to build an audio "chain" reading every part of your patch and creating a sort of "big mixer" when you load it. When you turn off/on DSP it builds the chain again I think and so the created abstraction is included in the chain.
But I am not absolutely certain about that. If you can "ZIP" and upload your patch then we can test for you.
