can someone tell me how i may be able to make the [entry] object into a guy, so that the user sees only a text entry field, and not all the related objects?

Trying to attach a sub oscillator to a 6 note polyphonic synth.

cannot get the sub osc (monophonic in a subpatch) to recognise the lowest note that is being played.

i have tried a lot of combinations of moses, spigot, min, max, minmax. but cannot get it too work.

i can get it too recognise lets say note 55, and obviously hold this note if note 62 is pressed after - ie no voice stealing.

but i cannot get it to change to 62 if note 55 is turned to note off. ie it will not play another note till a key is depressed again.

any help on this?

ended up getting this to work! nice one guys.
i made a network connection/udp/osc demo patch, that simplifies the whole network connection thing - and includes a working chat send and receive boxes!

Pretty crude, but looks okay, and more importantly - works!

thought i would share - in case anyone else can use them/get ideas!

hmm. the first way didn't work, as you and i both found out.

the second way, i havent a clue how to implement.

i assume make it an .rtf file first with text edit by copy and paste - then rename the rtf file to a .pd file, then open with pd?

that certainly doesn't work. stream of errros and a time window.

that is an astounding response., and a credit to open source.

now i understand why i was having such a nightmare with it!
