Hello,

i know about pd's problems with midi in windows, and feel often a bit unsure by the standard "warning" message... actually iy wotrks pretty well for me, except for one problem:
after not giving any input for a very long time (say more than an hour) MIDI is dead.
i have to click "apply" in the midi settings to get it working again...
anyone familiar with, or thoughts about this?

like MAX's defer/deferlow?

more specific on my case: reading or writing a huge coll gives audio problems...

[coll] is an object made for saving and reading information.
but i'm not quite sure what you want exactly...?
