I want to control MIDI note duration with gesture speed using a Wiimote. I tried to convert the acceleration to speed by summing up the acceleration samples. The speed will still be proportional to the Wiimote speed, although I'm not mulitplying by the sampling period.

The speed shows something like 7 or 20 when infact the device is lying still and I guess this depends on that the acceleration doesn't subtract properly.

It's also difficult as hell to scale the acceleration properly! Anyone has a good idea on how to find out the maximums? When I tried the acc never reached 1 ever, or zero. Mostly 0.4 or 0.5.

I'm using [msgfile] to read a text file line by line while a MIDI song is playing. The text file contains five columns with numbers. I need to extract the maximum value from each column in the text file, from the start of the patch (before all lines are read in, as it looks now). how do I do that?
